Meet Dr Midei

Dr. Brian Midei was born in Pennsylvania and began his journey in dentistry at the Pennsylvania State University while taking undergraduate course work. At the age of 19, he was one of very few students in the country that was admitted to Dental School with only three years of college (usually 4+ years) while still receiving his undergraduate bachelor degree. He was also one of a select group honored with a four-year scholarship for dental school.
Dr. Midei graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Dentistry. He chose to spend four years serving his country in the US Navy. He spent three years in Japan (during Operation Enduring Freedom) and one year in San Diego. During this time, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This superior training sparked him to seek further enhancement by electing to complete 6 month mini-residencies in Endodontics, TMJ, Orthodontics and Periodontics. Dr. Midei was able to train one on one with some of the countrys best clinicians and educators. As the Regional Chief of the TMJ Department in Japan, he served a population of over 30,000 people.
Dr. Midei has been featured on KOLD and KVOA television stations for his thoughts on dentistry and his Cash For Candy Program. He has collected nearly 1000 pounds of candy and shipped it to troops overseas.
Dr. Midei has authored many press releases and health newsletters used by doctors and patients alike. He has lectured to dentists and specialists on patient comfort, cutting edge materials, and the TMJ. His passion for understanding has led him to over 1000 hours of continuing education in the years since graduation (nearly 10 times higher than the Arizona state requirement). Dr. Midei has an enthusiastic passion for dentistry; he cant seem to get enough knowledge!
Dr. Midei is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. He also is a member of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry. This unique organization has only granted fellowship to less than 1% of the countrys dentists over the past 20 years!
Although from the northeast, Dr. Midei feels like a native of Arizona. He has chosen to maintain his private practice in the Northwest area of Tucson Arizona in Marana. He loves the small town feel with the large cities nearby. His wife, Rie, is a licensed Massage Therapist and has had extensive training in relaxing patients and muscular therapy for those who suffer from a dysfunction of the TMJ.
